17 weeks

Here is the beginning of the belly shots. 2 weekends ago Jessica, my mom and I went maternity clothes shopping bc I couldnt button a majority of my pants. I still have one pair that I can button under my belly. Stretch pants are always good.

So far I have gained 3 pounds and I look at this picture and am amazed! I think everything is just pushing out and I keep thinking- wow i must weigh a ton, but the scale says I have only gained 3 pounds.

Our "official" ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby is on Tuesday May 12th and I also have an appointment with Dr Stafford that day.

17 weeks: Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
